Personnel Checks Reaffirms Partnership with the Children's Activity Association
Personnel Checks is excited to announce the renewal and enhancement of our partnership with the Children’s Activity Association (CAA). This collaboration continues to champion safeguarding standards within children's activities, providing streamlined DBS checks and a wealth of additional benefits for CAA members.
Who are the CAA?
The CAA are striving to set the standard for safeguarding compliance in the children’s activity industry. Currently, there is no statutory best practice guidance for children’s activity providers and the CAA is working to change this. Their code of practice outlines minimum standards for health and safety, child safeguarding, criminal record checks, qualifications and training.
Organisations in this sector have 3 different options for registering with the CAA as a CAA Supporter or with a CAA Membership or Accreditation.
Being a CAA Supporter is free and gives you access to an incredible network of activity providers who are all striving to make the industry better and safer. All you need to do is commit to operating in line with the CAA Code of Practice. To become fully accredited members of the CAA, prospective organisations must complete 5 accreditation modules: compliance; training; programme; delivery; and customer service.
CAA Members and Accredited providers get access to masterclasses from subject matter experts, like Personnel Checks, to help enhance the organisation’s practice. They also benefit from a legal helpline, a range of partner discounts as well as regional meetings and their annual conference.

This is Personnel Checks’ second year partnering with the CAA. Safeguarding children is one of the most important responsibilities of society and we recognised in the CAA’s leadership that this is an association that wants to do better to help protect some of the most vulnerable. Their mission echoes our own, a working world which is safer for everyone.
